About the Programme
Our Al Azhar Junior High School programme combines the Indonesian national curriculum with the rich tradition of Al Azhar Islamic education. Students receive a balanced academic experience that nurtures both intellectual achievement and strong Islamic character — preparing them to be knowledgeable, faithful, and contributing members of society.
Academic Programme
- National Curriculum Subjects: All core Indonesian national subjects are taught to the highest standards, ensuring compliance with government requirements and strong academic outcomes.
- Islamic Studies: In-depth study of the Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, and Islamic history, guided by qualified Islamic scholars.
- Arabic Language: A structured Arabic language programme from beginner to intermediate level, with a focus on both Modern Standard Arabic and Quranic Arabic.
- English Language: Intensive English instruction to prepare students for further study and global communication.
Character Formation
Beyond academic subjects, the programme emphasises the development of akhlaq (moral character), instilling values of honesty, responsibility, respect, and compassion. Daily prayers, Islamic reflections, and community service are integral parts of school life.
Co-Curricular Activities
Students can participate in a variety of activities including Quran recitation competitions (Tahfiz), scouting, science clubs, sports, and the arts — all designed to foster well-rounded personal development within an Islamic framework.
Transition to Senior Level
Graduates of the Al Azhar Junior High School programme are fully prepared to continue their studies in our Al Azhar Senior High School or other accredited national and international institutions.
