About the Programme
Our Al Azhar Senior High School programme builds on the foundations established at the junior level, offering students aged 15–18 a comprehensive education that integrates the Indonesian national curriculum with advanced Islamic studies. Graduates are prepared for university entrance, national examinations, and life as principled, educated Muslim citizens.
Academic Streams
- Science Stream (IPA): Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and Biology at advanced level, preparing students for STEM pathways in higher education.
- Social Science Stream (IPS): Economics, Sociology, History, and Geography, ideal for students pursuing social sciences, law, or business at university.
- Language and Culture Stream: Intensive study of Indonesian, English, and Arabic literature and linguistics.
Advanced Islamic Studies
At the senior level, Islamic studies deepen to include advanced Tafsir (Quranic exegesis), Comparative Fiqh, Islamic economics, and Islamic civilisation. Students are encouraged to think critically about contemporary issues through an Islamic intellectual lens.
Arabic Language Proficiency
Senior students advance their Arabic language skills to a level sufficient for independent reading of classical Islamic texts. Students who demonstrate exceptional ability are supported in applying for scholarship programmes at Al Azhar University, Cairo.
University Preparation
Our senior high school team provides comprehensive preparation for the National University Entrance Examination (SNBT), as well as for scholarship pathways to Al Azhar University and other international Islamic institutions. Our graduates consistently achieve outstanding placement rates in top Indonesian and international universities.
